What I Got at the Post Office Today by Chuck P

All of our DJs receive hundreds of CDs a month to consider for airplay. With this regular feature, KCRW DJ Toss P catalogues his music bounty from the Post Office every week.

Warm days and cool days. In winter. I love this area. ’nuff said. Got a great deal of health benefits from the post office box soon. Here are some highlights…

1) Wye Oak “Civilian” – lovely shoe gaze/acid folk material. Getting excited about soaking up this new disc.

2) Johnny Cash & ESG 2xCD reissues – Reissues are invariably welcome in my mailbox. 2 classic artists here. ESG assortment is career spanning as well as the Cash release is subtitled Bootlegs Vol A couple of, so I’m sure there are a handful of unreleased tracks worthy of our occasion.

3) A ridiculous package involving 7″s from Black/White Iris – Heaven… I’michael in heaven…

Honorable mentions add the new CD from Ryat, Were Enfant Teible & the digital release of the new Radiohead album.

I wasn’t expecting which last one, but I was content it showed up in my email bin!
